Synerator Out // Hardware Synth Randomizer

$59.00

Stuck programming the same patch twice? Synerator Out sends new sounds straight to your hardware synth over MIDI - patches you'd never have dialed in on your own.

Pick your synth. Lock what you like. Hit RANDOMIZE. A new patch appears on the instrument itself - no editor, no librarian, no sysex.

Not random noise: every synth ships with tuned ranges, so coarse tuning stays put, the filter never rolls into silence, and effects stay in taste range.

✓ 47 synths included across 11 manufacturers
✓ Lock parameters to keep what's working
✓ Randomize one section, or only what's on screen
✓ Deep undo - roll fast, walk back to the keeper
✓ Save presets and share templates
✓ Mac (Universal, notarized) + Windows (64-bit)

Dance Diamond Digital // Hardware

Your synths already know
how to surprise you.

Every synth has a shape you fall into. The same filter sweep, the same envelope, the same three oscillator settings you always reach for. It isn't a lack of imagination - it's muscle memory, and muscle memory is exactly what deep sound design is up against.

Randomness breaks it. But most randomization is useless, because a random MIDI CC value is just noise: detuned oscillators, silent envelopes, filters slammed shut. You spend more time recovering than exploring.

Why it sounds musical

The ranges are
the product.

Synerator Out doesn't send random numbers. Every synth in the library ships with a template that knows which parameters can move freely, which need a narrow window, and which should never move at all.

Coarse tuning stays put - one wrong value and the patch is out of key. Filter cutoff has a floor, so you never roll into silence. Effect sends stay in taste range instead of drowning the sound. Pan and fine tune are weighted toward center.

That's the difference between a patch you keep and a noise you undo. It came out of parsing nearly 900 factory patches from a Sequential Poly Evolver to find out what the people who designed those instruments actually did with each parameter - then applying what that revealed across the whole library.

What's in v1.0

Built to be steered.

Lock any parameter to protect it. Narrow any range. Randomize only the filter section, or only what's on screen. It's an instrument for exploring your instrument - not a button that scrambles it.

Lock what matters

Freeze any parameter. Build a patch around a bassline you love and roll everything else around it.

Scoped randomize

Roll the whole synth, one category, or only what's visible after a search. Sound design at whatever resolution you want.

Deep undo / redo

Roll fast, then walk back to the one that worked. Nothing you liked is ever lost to the next roll.

47 synths included

Access, Arturia, ASM, Behringer, Elektron, Korg, Moog, Novation, Roland, Sequential/DSI, Waldorf - plus a generic template for anything that speaks CC.

Presets & templates

Presets save the values - a patch you liked. Templates save the ranges - the rules for rolling. Share templates; they're small text files.

Mac and Windows

Universal on Apple Silicon and Intel, signed and notarized by Apple. One purchase covers both your machines.

Hear it

Endless rolls. Many keepers.

No talking, no music bed. Just a synth finding sounds nobody programmed.

Straight with you

About those 47 templates.

Four have been verified on real hardware - microKORG, TR-8S, Poly Evolver, and the Poly Evolver Warm variant. The other 43 have correct MIDI CC maps and ranges derived by rule rather than tuned by ear.

They work. But if you own one of those synths, you can make its template better than I can, because you know how that instrument behaves.

That's what the Discord is for. Adjust the ranges until rolls sound right, save the template, post it. It goes into the shared library and ships with the next version - credited to you.

Your synth isn't in the list at all? Adding it takes about two minutes and no coding, and there's a button in the app that walks you through it.

The community

The library grows
while you sleep.

Synerator Out ships with 47 synths. It won't stay at 47. Every template is a small text file anyone can edit, and the Discord is where they get made, tuned and traded - by the people who actually own the instruments.

Download new templates

Members post templates as they finish them. Drop the file into your My Templates folder and it appears in the app within seconds - no update, no restart.

Tune the ones you own

Think the filter should open further on your Blofeld? Change it, roll it, save it, post it. If it sounds better, it ships with the next version under your name.

Add a synth from scratch

Yours not in the list? There's a pinned guide that walks you through it in about two minutes. No coding. We'll help you get the ranges right.

Tips and tricks

Which parameters to lock for basses versus pads. How to use Amount as a drift control. Which synths hide their CC receive setting six menus deep.

Show your sounds

Post the roll that surprised you. Half the good template ideas in the library started as somebody sharing a patch and someone else asking how.

Support, from me

Bugs, ideas, and "my synth does something weird" all go to the same place. There's no ticket system and no support team - just me, reading everything.

Launch

Founding Contributor

Everyone who buys Synerator Out during launch is a Founding Contributor.

  • Your name in the app. Permanently, in the About window.
  • Free updates through the whole v1.x line. Every new template, every fix.
  • Direct line. A Founding Contributor channel in the Discord where requests get read first - by me, because there is no one else.
  • Credit on any template you tune. Your name ships with it, in the app and in the public library.

This isn't a discount. It's an acknowledgement that the first hundred people buying a tool like this are the ones who make it good.

How it works

Four steps. No editor.

01

Connect

Your synth to your computer over MIDI.

02

Pick your synth

From the list of 47, or the generic template.

03

Lock

Anything you want to protect from the roll.

04

Randomize

The patch lands on the instrument itself.

Most synths need MIDI CC receive switched on - it ships off from the factory on a surprising number of them. The app tells you where to find it for your model.

Questions

Before you buy.

Does this work with software synths?

It's built for hardware, but it sends standard MIDI CC - so any plugin that accepts CC will respond. If you mainly work in the box, look at Synerator, the plugin version.

Will it overwrite my patches?

No. It changes the sound the synth is currently making. Nothing is written to your instrument's memory unless you save it there yourself.

What if my synth isn't listed?

Use the generic template to get going, then build a proper one - two minutes, no coding, and there's a button in the app that explains it. Post it in the Discord and we'll help you tune it.

Do I need an audio interface?

You need a way to get MIDI from your computer to your synth: a USB MIDI interface, a MIDI-equipped audio interface, or USB directly if your synth supports it.

One purchase, two computers?

Yes. The download contains both the Mac and Windows versions. Install on your studio machine and your laptop.

Is it a subscription?

No. Buy it once. Updates within v1.x are free.

Refunds?

All sales are final - it's a download, and there's no way to un-download it. Everything the app does is described honestly on this page, and there's a demo above. If something doesn't work, come to the Discord and I'll fix it.

  • A synth that receives MIDI CC

The Windows build isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" notice on first run - click More info, then Run anyway. A certificate costs several hundred dollars a year and this is a one-person operation. It's on the list. The macOS build is signed and notarized, and opens with no warnings at all.
